Fairly rich complex and round. The nose has some muted fruit salt tar and smoke. The pallet has slight fruit and sweetness with salt however the smoke is the real frontrunner. It encompasses peat iodine tar bandaid pepper with slight vegetal notes. Good but a little to scatterbrained for my constant supper.53.99 USD per Bottle

Laphroaig Quarter Cask
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed March 25, 2019 (edited December 31, 2019)When first opening the bottle; dark fruits, peat and oak are predominant on the nose which create a very inviting dram. On the pallet the nose is to be found, but it shows it’s youth with a ethanol/spicy burn. While not off-putting or mellow the dark fruits are a substitute for a well aged whisky making it a rounded in your face scotch. During the last third of the bottle the fruits lessen and make way to mellow oak taste featuring; honey, butterscotch, allspice, Demerara sugar with a bitter after taste. However this is overplayed with peat which lessens the abrupt bitter end. Over all a great offering from Laphroaig that highlights dark fruits over smoothness.59.99 USD per Bottle -
Smokey caster sugar. The bottle starts off with peat and heather sweetness that is quite smooth. Some salt and earthy seaweed show underneath in the middle of the bottle. At the end an overall peat and smoke with a delicious sugar that is reminiscent of powdered sugar. So good clean and a long sugar finish that is only outlasted by peat.52.99 USD per Bottle

Smoke peat and citrus in the early stages, the smoke is the dominant force rounded with an orange marmalade. Once you have gotten most of the way though the bottle the smoke takes a back seat turning the citrus into a brighter driving force. At the end of the bottle the taste and mouthfeel turns into chocolate making one Smokey chocolate orange.69.99 USD per Bottle

Glenfarclas 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed March 2, 2019 (edited November 8, 2019)When I first opened the bottle it tasted like a salty smokey mezcal. It opened up quite a bit but is still too salty IMHO. In the latter drams the sherry starts to show through. The nose starts with malt and cereal then leads into caramel with vegetal and mild to heavy salt it finishes with notes or dried fruits that lends a creaminess. The pallet starts with creamy caramel fruit and then smoke and salt, lingering vegetal note that fades back into dark fruits. Mild burn with a short to medium finish.52.99 USD per Bottle
