Controlled but strong peat smoke and some traditional sherry notes on the nose... The palate is what I love though. It's so long and slow developing. A sweet caramel-ish entry moves through dark chocolate towards peat smoke with all components equally represented and balanced. The finish is long with lingering smoke and dark chocolate again.

I got orchard fruit, butter, and spiced vanilla cream on the nose. The palate combined all of the notes from the nose with a doughy maltiness that for me was reminiscent of a spoonful of apple cobbler with a bit of melted vanilla ice cream on it. Mmmm.

I get brown sugar, vanilla, caramel, and steen's cane syrup on the nose, with brown sugar vanilla and that dark sweetness again on the palate, the finish is slightly dry relative to the palate with caramel and vanilla.

JJB gives me berries, oak and vanilla on the nose with orchard fruit and vanilla initially on the palate moving towards those fig preserves. The finish is moderate with vanilla and spice.

Classic bourbon notes with vanilla, caramel and oak on the nose. Palate carries sweet vanilla and caramel/toffee notes accompanied by peanuts (reminiscent of peanut brittle). The finish is long and gives me sweet starch and vanilla again.

I get vanilla nutmeg and clove on the nose, with the same thing working through the palate accompanied by some pepper and the faintest bit of smoke. The finish is long and round and reminds me of Christmas growing up with spiced egg nog carrying vanilla and baking spices

Caramel cake on the nose. Caramel, vanilla, spice cake, and butterscotch on the palate, with a medium length, still sweet butterscotch finish
