Batch 2 Nose: Light and balanced, maybe some corn. Pallet: Dark caramel, leather and oak. Finish: Can get a bit sour but a nice mellow mug. I like the idea of a 7 barrel blend for $70, who else is doing this? Is it the best I’ve had no and one bottle of this release is enough, will I buy release 3 and other releases going forward, yes I will.

The tequila barrel finish softened the nose and pallet. It brings out a apple or pear flavor on the finish.

Nose: Strong fruit and earthy Pallet: Dried fruits Finish: Lingering spice If this was available as a daily for $150 it would be on my normal list. If your looking for a thick heavy pour this is a good option.

Open up after sitting for awhile. If I had this in a blind, the balance and smoothness (hate saying that), the words Jack Danials would have never crossed my mind. Nose is overly powerful but has notes you can get into, barrel char and caramel come forward, that carries though to the pallet. And there’s no pine! If I come across a bottle, I’m getting it.

Great nose, there are some dry fruit notes but overall it’s very well balanced. I’m going to try it again tomorrow and then search for another bottle for friend giving! Does not drinks like 126.6 proof.

Typically I’m not impressed and go for the Murray Hill Club but this particular bottle is a cut above the rest. Enjoyable all around wirh just a hint of sherry to smooth it out.

Nose: Not super strong but all oak Pallet: More oak Finish: Touch of char and heat but overall nice. The more you have it almost goes away. Oak and more oak, I can see why this is not for everyone but is it smooth and full of flavor. A little one dimensional, not in a bad way, but there’s just very traditional bourbon notes.

Kroger Barrel 210. Is a step above the regular, stronger nose and better and more balanced pallet. Maybe it’s just the AE bottle I have open but there’s just a touch of sourness I can’t get past.

This is a thinker bottler… Nose: Light with a hint of char Pallet: Overall very smooth for 117 proof with notes of cherry. Finish: Full bodyness comes through on the finish, dry with a nice linger. Been close to a year since I last had this, smooth for 117 proof, light nose, cherry on the pallet with a dry lingering finish. For the rarity and price, I haven’t been impressed but it has gotten better. Will need to try another expression.
