Dark colour like brandy. My first thought was if this was dyed in any way. On the nose, theres very strong odour iniitaly of vanilla but definitely candy and honey. You can already taste the sweetness on the nose itself. Alcohol seems to be quite strong as well already. On the pallette comes similar very strong notes. A full bodied dram indeed wtih strong alcohol spiciness and ethanol coupled with strong dried fruits such as raisins. Quite a long finish of similar sweet caramelly dried fruits.

Something’s off with this 21 year old. I want so badly to like it but there’s something bothering me with it. Been trying out a few shots of this bottle over a few months. It is not bad. Typical speyside oaky dram. A bit on the salty side. Seems to taste better with ice. I guess i expected more from a 20+ year old whiskey. Lots more younger whiskeys works better for me.
