Nose: cherry syrup, almond jello, vanilla, rye spice. Wish it were a tad stronger Palate: oak, jim beam peanut, rye spice in the finish. Three flavors that work incredible together. Layers of pepper and cinnamond Finish: more oak, cherry cola, rye spice. Medium intensity Wish that nose and finish had a touch more intensity but the palate is perfect. 8 on the t8ke scale

Michter's US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Rye (2023 Release)
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 1, 2024Nose: black cherry, brown sugar, vanulla. Smells like a bourbon. Feint oak and pepper at the end Palate: thick and creamy mouthfeel. Rye spice on the front, bright fruit and oaky/dark chocolate bitterness. Finish: tons of pepper and oak. Drier and more tannic than i expected but in a very young 8 on the t8ke scale -

Reviewed November 3, 2023Nose: peppery, floral, spicy, anise, small layer of fruit Palate: more pepper and dusty oak. Mild apples, rye spice, decent amount of floral notes. Good mouthfeel. Light and well balanced Finish: more leather and oak. Rye spice 6 on the t8ke scale. MSRP is steep. Its tasty but it shoild be competing with 1910 and woodford DO. Despite the low proof, michters always manages to squeeze everyone oht of flavor that it can -

Palate: cherry up front, buttery carame, baking spices, dried oak and leather Finish: dark chocolate, bottom of a coffee cup, more oak, drying and long finish. Medium intensity Pour is much more balanced and refined. Gonna be a too contender for ahiskey if the year. 9 on the t8ke scale -

Dusty oak at the end Palate: absolute flavor bomb, where do i begin. Insane mouthfeel first and foremost. Root beer, cherry, spice. Typical bourbon flavors but dialed way way up Finish: toasted oak, baking spice, dark chocolate bar, espresso!!!!! Overall: incredibly bourbon, extremelt unique. Not an everyday sipper but warrants the premium price (both MSRP and secondady) 9 on the t8ke scale -

Lots going on here, so many layers Palate: packs a bigger flavor punch than any ECBP ive had. Mouthfeel and viscosity is great as always. Tons of cherry cola, honey. Fruity brightness from the proof Finish: dry seasoned oak, dark chocolate, bitter coffee 9 on the t8ke scale
