Nose: brown sugar, anise, oak, a level of buttery savor ones. Rum notes Palate: deep red stewed fruits up front. Followed by the oak. The oak provides depth on the palate rather tannins Finish: this is where the oak shines. Long finish and deep dark chocolate. Not bitter or dry. Sweet oak. Best whiskey I’ve ever had. 9 on the t8ke scale

Nose: oak, cinnamon, brown sugar, nutmeg. Nice amount of baking spices mixed in with the oak. Palate: smooth and refined, wheated mash bill plays well with the oak. Caramel apple without the acidity Finish: baking spices really shine here followed by the perfect amount of oak and tannins. 8 on the t8ke scale. One of the more balanced bourbons I’ve had in a while. Has a little bit of everything and does everything really well

Angel's Envy Private Selection Single Barrel Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 9, 2022Nose: candied sugar, really sweet Palate: more brown sugar, the proof drowns out the port wine character. Pretty viscous Finish: more oak than I thought there would be. Short but then the hug lingers for a little. Pretty underwhelming, not sure I would pay even the $100 for this one. 4 on the t8ke scale -
