Updated : This came as a real surprise. It's Non chill filtered nature was evident. Good nutty depth and finished well

The nosing held promise but when it hit the palate that's when it delivered ! its now my second favorite kavalan after the vinho. sweet fruity vanilla thats strong but in no way overwhelming. just great

If you don't want to pay for a good smoky islay then just pick this up. It's got all the great characteristics of what you'd expect in a caol ila, talisker or laphroig. Add some water or a cube of ice and a sweet honey flavour hits you. Not a complex dram but not one dimensional either. Also will make a good cost effective morikaoru highball

This is quite a decent dram with honey Sweetness and rather rich

Fresh fruitiness though rather unpolished around the edges. Need some cubes and water and more creamy texture comes out. good value

This is probably one of the smoothest blended whisky I've had and the smoke and vanilla at the back end is a nice treat - well done

Caramel and a hint of coconut this is a real good day to day whisky for the price if this is down your alley. Worth giving it a go if you like sweeter styled whiskies

Woody spiciness and silky sweetness a great combo in a well designed bottle. Too many good memories with this

The entry is rather uninspiring but the finish showcases the mizunara effect and happiness is back in the mix. Light and crisp and spicy at the end and gets creamy with some water. Picked this one on a trip to Japan and you'd get the 350 ml bottles as well.
