Tiger Snake Sour Mash Whiskey (5th Batch)
Other Whiskey — Western Australia, Australia
Reviewed September 13, 2017This is not bad but I just can't justify the price with so many top whiskies in the price range. This is sweet and clean and that's as good as it gets Dan Murphy whisky tasting 13 sept 17 -

Green Spot Single Pot Still
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed September 13, 2017 (edited April 9, 2018)Take 2 - previous tasting must have been a bad batch ! This is actually really good - fresh fruits honey and creamy. A drop or 2 of water opens it up further with more cream. Nice! I must say though for aid 97 in Aus it’s a little pricy considering the yellow spot is about 139 but they are 2 very different drops and the green spot looks like a real winner. Added one extra star ———————————— Fresh florals with honey and it's not a bad blend but I'm Not sure if I just had a varied batch but for another 10 I'd just go with a Hibiki blend and plenty of good single malts at the range or lower. South Island Single Malt 25 Year
Single Malt — South Island, New Zealand
Reviewed September 11, 2017This feels like the little brother of old Pulteney from the other side of the world. The nose is briny and salty but strangely does not translate immediately as it hits the palate but a little later on and added with a touch of creaminess. A good dram ! -
Craigellachie 13 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed September 3, 2017 (edited November 2, 2019)Interesting that craigellachie picked prime numbers to age their whisky and if the 13 is thE starting point this is going to be good. The nOse openeS up with some water and its fruity and a little grassy. On the palate the burN up front makes you wonder but the depth that follows and the spicy finish makes you want more
