Reas the reviews and the ratings and I'm not impressed. Hot with limited flavor profile. Not better with water. Inexpensive bourbon but not better than a $15 bottle. Nice aroma just ehhhhhh flavor.

This does not come close to paying homage to Pappy. It's hot with a limited flavor profile with a longggggggg burn. No matter what water I added or how many times I tried it, just doesn't do it for me. Too bad because I was hopeful for a new wheated bourbon to surprise me.

Not a fan of texas bourbons. Have strong corn flavor and just doesn't taste like bourbon. Almost nauseating smell to it. At least it doesn't taste like shoe leather like other Texas bourbon I tried

Very immature bourbon. Heavy corn flavor with limited flavor profile. Needs to age another five years.

I had this one for the first time after eating a somewhat spicey gumbo. I think toning down the palate a little beforehand made this bourbon outstanding. I really liked the broad flavor profile from it being cask strength and it didn't seem to oakey to me. When I want a full bodied bourbon with a smooth bang, I reach for this one. Obviously adding a few drops of water tones it down a bit. This will be a bourbon I will purchase again - if I ever finish this bottle!

This refers to barrel 51-5F. Definitely more of the floral and lemon overtones. Think it's a bit overrated. I probably would not buy this one again.

This bourbon has a full flavor profile. Almost like a wheated bourbon. On the smoother side and milder burn. In my exploration of many different bourbons over the last year, this is one of my favorites.
