Palate is also smooth, strong sweet fruit and then a woody bitterness. Lingering pepper. Some leather and turpentine. 2/10/19 -

1792 Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 3, 2019 (edited February 14, 2019)Single barrel selected by Breaking Bourbon, available at Third Base. Mild nose. Classic scents, none of the tropical notes that I get with other bottles. That also applies to the palate, not getting the banana and coconut notes; mostly spice and leather on the palate, with strong cacao nibs, bitterness. Some turpentine. Good balanced amount of sweetness. Spice lingers a bit on the finish. 2/3/19 -

Woodford Reserve Master's Collection Select American Oak Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 1, 2019 (edited May 20, 2020)Fruity on the nose. Some malt as well. Tastes young, but not harsh. Smooths out towards the end, velvety. The young note holds this back. 2/1/19 -
Barrell Dovetail (122.9 Proof)
Blended American Whiskey — (bottled in) Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 19, 2019 (edited May 16, 2019)I get rum on the nose, with raisins and funky molasses. Thick and sweet. Also, Sprite, and balsa. On the palate, spicy, with cola notes - caramel, clove honey, dark chocolate. Sweet and rich. Heavy rye notes, interestingly. Slight astringent wood. Not getting much of the wine notes, apart from slight dark fruit on the finish. Lingers. This is interesting and delicious. 1/19/19
