Michter's 10 Year Single Barrel Rye
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 18, 2017 (edited January 9, 2018)2016, Barrel no. 16A127. Great nose, fruity. Incredibly smooth on the palate. Some fruit notes, wood, char, pleasant rye spice. Ends with semi sweet chocolate. 10/18/17 2017, Barrel no. 17A25. Great nose. Rich, sweet, deep. Like sticky sweet caramel and fruit juice. A bit thin on the palate, but waves of flavor. Fruit, oak (shows its age but not in an overwhelming way), taffy. Lingering spice. Some cherry and bitterness at the end, along with some medicinal notes. Complex and flavorful, a good one to drink with other enthusiasts. 12/22/17 -
Yeah, the nose is oaky. Not a surprise. Vanilla, caramel, and linen as well. Rich and sweet. Interestingly, I get a grape note as well. On the palate, very silky. Lots of wood, but not u pleasant. A bit of staleness or dampness, and pleasant sweetness. A hint of clove and citrus soda at the end, maybe lavender soap. Unique. 10/18/17

Woodford Reserve Master's Collection Sonoma-Cutrer Pinot Noir Finish
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 18, 2017 (edited October 19, 2017)Deep color, rich nose with lots of floral notes, fruits, saltwater taffy, and honey. Very strong nose. Sweet, clove honey on the tongue. Some definite wine tartness, a bit of astringent cherry. Finish is smooth and flavorful. Very nice. 10/18/17 Not as vibrant this time around. Less acidity and tartness than I remember. The nose has an earthy, dank wood note. On the palate, an earthy, almost truffle-like note. This is straightforward: Woodford finished in wine barrels, that's an accurate description of the taste profile. Finish is moderately bitter. This is a new bottle, my previous tasting was at a bar, maybe that accounts for the difference. Too bad, will have to drop this from 4 stars to 3. 6/1/18 -

Glenmorangie Signet
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 10, 2017 (edited April 24, 2018)What. A. Nose. Wow. Rich deep scents. First impression is jalapeño infused coffee. Some dark chocolate, yes. Zest. Spice lingers. If only the finish were longer. 10/9/17
