Herbal, spearmint, warm white bread, maybe dill on the nose and taste. Finish leaves a spearmint and confectioner sugar taste in the mouth.

so disappointed that I couldn't enjoy this one. the problem is the funky cabbage note and taste. it really throws off any other flavors. tried it two times and will try it again in the distant future if it's still around. for my first auchentoshan, it was a huge letdown.

don't let the threat of rum scare you away from this one. it adds the perfect amount of dried fruit and best of all sweet tobacco.

second bottle and it hasn't disappointed. neck pour is rich dusty oak, caramel, vanilla. Still has the unique taste that I love. If you've ever rubbed bourbon between your palms until it dried to smell the pure oak, this bottle of McKenna is leaving that pure oak flavor on my tongue. What a perfect finish!

finally a bourbon that has something unique in the taste. at first sip, it's a typical bourbon caramel, oak, a little rye spice. At least by the finish, which is very long, a combination of cherry, maybe pecan, grassy sweetness lingers in my mouth. it's so heavy that it coats like a chloraseptic throat spray without the chloraseptic flavor. I love the linger more than the bourbon itself. Can't wait to taste the single barrel.
