Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye
Canadian — Alberta, Canada
Reviewed June 17, 2020 (edited November 9, 2020)Tremendous!! Beautiful cherry notes, reminds me of Dr. Pepper in the best way. -
Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2011
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed May 18, 2020 (edited November 11, 2020)Pleasant, but not overwhelming. Tastes young, but at just shy of 7 year old, I suppose it should. Too often hints at the possibility of what could be had it aged alittle longer. It is good but has a hard time standing up to big brothers 10yr and MRC:01 -
Centennial Limited Edition Canadian Whisky
Canadian — Alberta, Canada
Reviewed November 9, 2019 (edited March 5, 2022)The absolute best of the bottom shelf of Canadian whiskies. Give me this over Crown or Alberta Premium any day. This is a cheap and rough around the edges. But it knows exactly what it is and owns it! -
Laphroaig Triple Wood
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed November 9, 2019 (edited March 15, 2021)The milder peat and the sherry influence brings to mind Lagavulin 16. No where near as refined as the Lag, but you get that lovely intersection of pear and sherry that feels like barbecue or bacon. Love this! -
Bunnahabhain Stiùireadair
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed November 9, 2019 (edited December 20, 2019)This tastes a little young but it is bright and brilliant! No substitute for the classic 12. But if sea brine and sherry are your thing this will do it for you. The sherry is there but not overpowering!65.0 CAD per Bottle
