Fantastic. Picked this up after a private tasting at the distillery. Chose to crack it open on Christmas to share with the family. Just wonderful classic bourbon notes; flavors are deep and satisfying. Thick, coating mouthfeel, and a nice warming finish. Wish I had bought more than one bottle!

Maple syrup on the nose, along with a bit of cherry. Mouthfeel is fairly thick, viscous. Sweetness throughout with just a touch of a hug. Very enjoyable, easy sipper. My favorite from this distillery.

7/2/22 - Very smooth, easy drinker. Carmel and vanilla up front, short lived finish. Shared with the camping gang on our July 4th trip to McCormicks Creek State Park.

Fantastically sweet on the nose. Classic rye flavors on the palate, and a nice medium length finish. Sherry finishing lends a sweetness throughout the experience. Looking forward to revisiting this one.

Very rich and sweet on the nose. Didn’t transfer to the palate on this taste however. Mostly dry oaky leather here. Nothing remarkable about the finish. Hopefully some of the notes on the nose find their way into the palate next time around. 3/2023 - Same rich, sweet nose. However, now it transfers to the palate. Still a thin mouthfeel, but the flavors are more pronounced. Quite enjoyable sip.

Don't see much of this brand in northern Indiana, so when I found this on the shelf, I decided to give it a try. Having seen some positive reviews, and the relatively low price for this bottle, I figured it wasn't a large risk. Nose and palate match the light color of this whiskey. Nothing overwhelming on this taste, however I do get the classic rye spice. I'll have to revisit this after it sits for a bit.

Took a field trip to Louisville during a recent camping trip, and wound up with a few new whiskeys! Peerless is such a cool place, and they’re making some great stuff there. Citrus on the nose and palate, along with some cinnamon-sugar. More of the same on the finish. An excellent pour. 5/27/23 - Went on another field trip, this time from Charlestown State Park, and spent the day on the Louisville leg of the KBT. Picked this bottle up, and a few others, following our tasting at the distillery. Pricey, but Peerless is distilling some excellent whiskey.

Colin shared this with us last weekend down at Clifty Falls SP campground. Vanilla on the nose and palate. Fairly short, dry finish. Nothing too complex, but a nice, smooth easy sipper. If you’re a Buffalo Trace (Sazerac) fan, you’ll likely enjoy this.

Picked this up at Lux Row, which by the way, is a stunning property. Excellent tour and tasting experiences, well stocked, modern gift shop and a beautiful outdoor setting. The Rickhouse is a must see, and there are Peacocks roaming wild on the property! As has become a bit of a tradition, I decided to take this bottle to share on our camping trip to Clifty Falls State Park in Madison, IN. Pretty strong alcohol on the nose, but also picked up a bit of sweetness. Nice vanilla note on the palate, along with some spice. Finish is medium length and tingly. Also get some cocoa here. Pretty solid pour.

Another of the bottles we purchased from Dave while visiting Kentucky last May. Just an excellent craft distillery that's not afraid of experimentation. Loved meeting the gang and touring the facility. This expression offers just what the name on the label suggests; coffee and chocolate from nose to long lingering finish. Another very interesting and pleasing pour from Glenns Creek. Cheers! Barrel #12, Bottle #102 12/21/22 - Revisited this one tonight. Less coffee and chocolate this time around. Really getting the oak and barrel char. Not off-putting, just more pronounced tonight. Finish is just as long, with a drying effect going on.
