Really enjoyed the nose with notes of sweet peat, tropical fruits, spices and menthol.
The palate is rounded, semisweet, a little thick and oily with subdued peat, spices, and fruitiness, heat builds over time.
The finish is medium length and moderately spicy.
This is a lovely whisky, and my first from India. I can’t wait to find out if they’re all this good.
Nose. Caramelised smoky bacon with a slight earthy, peaty undertone.
Palate. Tart summer fruits and vanilla.
Finish. Here’s where you get the peat, and a touch of lingering smoke. Peppery and spicy.
It’s expensive in comparison to my favourite Islays but definitely worth experiencing.
