Smell is superb, sweet with vanilla and chocolate. One of the few Ryes I enjoy on the regular. Spicy, a little oily like a mellow scotch, smooth and goes down without the typical rye burn.lingers under the tongue with hints of salt.

Nice balance of pepper from the rye and sweet from the rum barrels

Interesting after taste. Similar to a rum raisin cake. Very sweet.

This whiskey is mild and sweet. Nose smells like graham cracker. Palate is sweet up front with graham cracker, chocolate and marshmallow. Yep, it’s like a S’more! Also cloves. I love this rye.

TONS of maple syrup on the nose. Butterscotch and red wine, too. The spice you’d expect from a 95% rye comes in on the palate, along with a hint of caramel apples. Spicy, long finish that hugs you tight. Like a warm blanket in a glass.
