Angel's Envy Rye Finished in Caribbean Rum Casks

This is unique. I finally figured out what this reminds me of. It was always Christmas (which is when I got it) but it reminds me of my grandmother’s fruitcake, which she always wrapped in cloth soaked in Grand Marnier. I get the baked goods notes and candied fruit notes.

Not normally a fan of rye due to the spiciness. However this is a very smooth and sweet rye (I assume because of the rum barrel finish). Has just a little spice still to it

Close to the best rye I’ve had. Order of magnitude better in blind test with bulleit and Herman Marshall

Smooth. Vanilla and sugar notes up front, sweet but tempers off quickly.
