Smells smoky, briny, and suspiciously of antiseptic. Had a lot of flashbacks to Laphroaig 10. But on the palate, it's much less "hospital" and much more "eating peppered jerky around a smoldering (not rip-roaring) campfire". Incredible body, incredible fullness of flavor. Initial sip had antiseptic sneak in at the very end but subsequent sips smoothed it out. Overall, an excellent example of an Islay.
Richer and fuller than Wee Beastie. Aroma of barbecue brisket and bacon. A brief sweetness on the front but overall more emphasis on the peaty / medicinal. Not bad but would like the front half to last longer. A few drops of water open it up

The nose is smoky, like peppered bacon. I can sense the high proof on it, but it's not too too hot. Definitely mature and well-balanced. I get some interesting notes on this guy. Seaweed, cigar ash, vanilla and soy sauce. A rich, savory dram.

One nice sweet and smoky combination with notes of smoke, peat, iodine, brine, salted cod, dark chocolate, toffee, cherries, raisins, pineapples, espresso, and toasted marshmallows.
