Balcones Texas Single Malt

Birch with hints of vanilla and a decent amount of spice.

Floral, sweet nose. Light sweetness and some alcohol heat. Good, was worth the try, but probably won’t buy a bottle

Really good; smooth

Aromas of caramel and vanilla, slight peat finish.

The nose is tight but man this is a hitter, at 69.3 proof the flavors come at you hard. Heavy dark chocolate, toffee, and coffee hints. The finish is LONG chewing on this for a little while yields additional hints of honey, and hints of grass. Really hard to believe it’s 24 months old.

This whiskey has everything I like and dream of. A great whiskey. Well done in Texas.
