Barrell Dovetail (122.9 Proof)

Butterscotch all the way. Favorite nose - butterscotch and slight sweetness (strawberry cheesecake?). Full body that leaves an oily after taste like.. butterscotch candy. High proof but not as noticeable - very balanced and alcohol burn comes only at the end. A drop of water makes it just perfect. Ok, I've repeated "butterscotch" a lot and it is definitely a prominent note for me, but it doesn't do this pour justice really. It is far more complex with layers and flavors that I struggle to describe.

Raisins, vanilla, gentle alcohol

This is great - well above average. This is really enjoyable. I'll certainly enjoy this bottle but given the price, it'll be a good while before I grab another - maybe for a special occasion. Batch 7 bottled at 124.7 proof.

Nose: nice bourbon vanilla sweetness, floral notes, blackberries and other fruits, graham crackers, strawberry creme, sugar cookie with icing. The nose is very pleasant but doesn't jump out at you. Taste: buttery vanilla ice cream, cherry, creamy oatmeal, butterscotch, raisins, sugar cookie with icing. An amazing mouth feel with an intense and long finish. The flavors are very hard to describe but this is an astounding spirit. Worth every penny
