Basil Hayden Red Wine Cask Finish

Pretty smooth due to the lower ABV but didn’t have much complexity to the flavor other than the sweetness from the red wine on the back end. Better than their usual stuff but average at best for me.

Nice at first sip then a weird finish....almost cough syrup

Gave this a couple nights of trying it to make a fair review. So here are my thoughts. On the nose: Strawberry with hints Orange Palate: Super weak and not much to find in the taste. Finish: Really doesn’t finish well and has a strange tangy taste to it. Overall not really a fan of this bottle. I’ve heard hit and miss with Basil Hayden but as a fan of fruit and floral whiskeys, I definitely didn’t like this one.
