Basil Hayden Red Wine Cask Finish

Dry style whiskey with very subtle flavors from the cask. I’d hoped for more berry notes from the wine casks, so I was a bit disappointed, especially for the premium price of the blend.

On the nose: hints of citrus blend with notes of brown sugar and honey On the palate: Good golly, it tastes like red wine! It’s very unique because of the taste of a Cabernet but the texture of a whiskey. I will say, maybe at times it tastes a little TOO much like red wine, but it is quite delicious The finish: Dark cherries and hints of citrus Overall: it’s pretty smooth, and as a red wine taster, I enjoy this one a lot!
