Big Peat Blended Malt

Whisky me pouch. Really enjoyable dram, surprisingly good actually. Lots of smoky peat but also very sweet. Light and fresh tasting, may need a bottle of this!

Lemon, sweet vanilla flavours. Quite rich. Smoky.

Floral and fruity on the nose, and the peatiness is present on the nose but light on the palate. Woody, sweet and a little salty when first tasted and has a little tartness on the finish.

Inviting peat nose and mouthfeel. Surprisingly the finish was cooler than I expected. I decided not to cut it because I like sipping this one as is. It's a decent way to try an Islay blend, but one can also get others that are not blended from Islay for a similar price. It's worth a try if you like trying out the different offerings known for peat.
