Overall:
Interesting nutty yet sweet flavor profile with the classic flavors. A nice and strong barrel proof at a decent price. Nice presentation with the box.
Tasting neat:
Nose of red hots, peanut brittle, and slight licorice and orange.
Palate offers more peanut and slight apple, followed by a big dollop of heat.
Finish is short, fading quickly from wood spice and heat to peanuts.
Color: Old English, burnt gold with copper shades.
Nose: Very mellow oak and vanilla, unassuming.
Palatte: Medium-heavy caramel, sweet vanilla, light oak floats on the tongue, heat rises quickly and hits the back of the throat,
Finish: sharp, but dull, quick and hot, but not abrasive.
Nose: caramel ; followed by hints of oak, banana and vanilla.
Tasting : oak comes through first, with sweet caramel and nutty notes following. a long strong spicy heat finish, definitely feels young.
Final thoughts: decent; however nothing too exciting happening here. Good when compared to bourbons as a whole; however, lower on the bookers scale from the few I’ve had.
