Booker's Bourbon Batch 2021-03 "Bardstown Batch"

Nice batch. Fruity and spicy.

Tried neat from @Looneyhead On the nares I get vanilla, citrus, & caramel. On the palate it is very smooth considering the proof

Revisited N: luxardo cherry, peanut, Rick house, light apple juice, T: peanut, corn, honey, char, red apple skin, savory F: long honey oak, little bitter Exceptional mouthfeel. Great tingly heat.

First off, surprise, as the nose is not as hot as I expected. Notes include pecans, cinnamon, cherry, charred oak, soft pine, white pepper, toast, orange, baking spices, celery, caramel and a touch of umami. Hotter on the palate, leather, oak, Red Hots, cocoa, brine, pepper, caramel and a hint of orange. I’m glad I bought this. I’m getting some funkiness from it, though it’s very obviously a barrel strength bourbon. A little water doesn’t really open anything else up, it just mellows things out. Interesting stuff.

Sample from KHW. Neat. Sweet, nutty on the back end. Finish lasts forever but doesn’t burn. Every time I drink Booker’s it’s a great experience. One of my favorites.
