Brother's Bond Bourbon

Smooth and able to be sipped but nothing special

In a word... Mediocre. Overpriced for what it is.

Aroma: i found this to be semi-sweet and rich with a hint of vanilla, honey, oak and a touch of cinnamon. It was actually quite pleasant on the nostrils. Palate: Simple palate that really hits your taste. Mild vanilla/honey mix at the start, followed by complimentary oak. What really surprised me was the burn it had for an 80 proof bourbon. The burn was good! Haha Finish: The finish is long and good for the proof. The sweetness, honey and oak continue and pick up a bit of black pepper. Relatively mild burn. Brothers Bond not the greatest but definitely did not let me down.

This came highly recommended from a good friend based on taste and price. I wasn't disappointed in the slightest, but understood the cost. The aroma had a nice one-two punch of baking spice and clove. The flavor somewhat whispered its tasting notes out. I got essences of bread, cocoa, and a sprinkle of black pepper which all persisted to the hasty finish. What had me going was how dangerously it could be consumed. Then again the abv was set at a measley 40% hehe! All in a all a fantastic daily. Very fairly priced at $39.99.

Okay pour. Faint vanilla and light body. Doesn’t linger long at all. There’s plenty of other bourbons with more personality at this price point, just an underwhelming sipper in my opinion. Used to love it though a few years ago!
