Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie

I’m tasting this drop right now, have to be honest that trying to describe my palate and sensation is a bit too much. Looking at the colour against the natural light I have to say, I found it a bit misleading for the complexity of flavours and smells that altogether give you this great cocktail of flavours. I’m really happy with it.

Very full bodied, but not at all harsh. It has an interesting smokiness without being peaty. The smokiness is kind of like a wordiness, a bit like saw dust from a piece of hard wood. To me, it compares to the Balvenie, but with a broader flavor profile, but not as herbal. Really interesting stuff.

Sweet Peat, this is good. Reminds me of Glenmorangie. Smoky, rich with a little bit of heat in the end. I taste more oak in the finish. Cool bottle and case.

I am now big fan of unpeated scotch! If I am going to drink scotch over my preferred bourbon, this is the one. And I love the references to Seabreeze!
