CanadianDistilled in Canada and aged in barrels for at least three years. Often, but not always, Canadian whiskies are blends of corn, barley and rye which are distilled and matured separately.
Tasting Notes
"The nose shows lots of oak influence providing an almost cedar-y quality. There's also a touch of vanilla and chocolate to be found. The whisky feels soft on the palate, but there's lots of spices, char smoke and more vanilla as well. The finish is more bitter than sweet--not a complaint. Re-tasting brings out more dried herbs on the nose. The finish isn't uber complex for a 16 year-old whisky. But for the price, it's a unique whisky in the Crown Royal portfolio so worth checking out.
