Del Maguey San Pablo Ameyaltepec

Pleasant floral aroma. Taste of pear and herbs. Charcteristic, yet not unpleasaant, sting of an unaged liquor.

Probably my favorite mezcal I have tried to date. Best part was that they didnt have enough for a full pour so gave it to me for free. There’s a distinct umami flavor that is pleasant and not overbearing. There are some faint floral notes and a pleasant vegetal sweetness. Smoke is not a predominant flavor & it lingers ever slightly in the background.

One nice mezcal with notes of cooked agave, anise, plums, bananas, pineapples, plantains, cinnamon, dark chocolate, pepper, lavender, wildflowers, and smoke.

The best of the 7 Del Maguey's I've tried so far. Great from the first pour. A bit of Raicilla funk and fruits on the nose. Cotton candy and sweet fruits with nice warm and mildly smoky finish. This is good mierda!

Very complex on the nose and palate. Nose: sour smarties candy, chalk, baby food No burn up front only on finish. Palate: smarties candy, mineral, vegetable

Soft on the front and a bit hotter on the back end. Buttery sweet corn mid palate with a sour note. One of my favs to date @chiefagave
