A classic Tequila, with notes of citrus and clove, among other flavors. Would happily drink again, though not sure I'd seek out this bottle over others in a similar price range.
The aromas deliver a prominent caramel and roasted agave component with hints of citrus, oak, and floral- almost pollen like characteristic. The flavors showcase roasted agave and citrus peels with touches of oak and pepper. Slight fruity components like banana and raisins are noticeable.
Interesting tequila. A lot of barrel spice and pepperiness.
Nose: vegetal, cracked peppercorn spice, oak, vanilla. The more time in the glass the more it opens up. It’s a very intriguing nose on a Tequila.
Palate: vegetale and even reminds me little of peat funk in a good Islay or Campbeltown malt. Spicy black pepper, clean citrus. Drinks at its proof feeling almost to watered down.
Finish: hints of vanilla, barrel spice, and pepper.
