Typical ECBP but a bit more harsh and astringent then normal. Probably my least favorite out of the 2023-2024 releases but as always, still worth trying and not bad.

Classic ECBP all the way through. Sweet caramel, oak, red spice, and buttered toast nose. Taste is long and more dry spicy with light maple sweetness. Long finish with very moderate heat. Lingers and drinks below the proof. Its not amazing, but if you like the style and ECBP is basically an automatic buy you will enjoy this.

NEAT
NOSE - Loads of caramel and vanilla. There is also hints of cherry burried underneath a rich oak note. The nose is fairly bold but also teases some sweetness.
PALATE - Mouthwatering. The mouthfeel is vicsous and chewy. Much better mouthfeel compared to A124. There is a ton of oak and caramel initially on the palate and from beginning to end. The cherry pops through on the palate here and there but the oak and caramel absolutely dominate the palate. The vanilla is not missed however and is definitely noticeable.
FINISH - Long, bold and rich.
BUY? - Absolutely. This is a really solid batch.
BUY AGAIN? - Not a bad idea to back this one up, but I myself won’t. It’s great but I’ll likely get C924 instead of backing this up.

Classic ECBP. Rich nose, burnt sugar, cocoa, leather, hay, and a hint of fruit and oak. The palate explodes in your mouth, hot, peppery and tons of dark chocolate. Rich in cinnamon and allspice. The finish lingers and lingers and makes your tongue tingle. Chest hug is prominent. Ice brings fruit and salt forward. Very nice. Only drawback is lack of complexity. This whiskey packs a punch.
