Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon

From my experience you have to drink this neat. So much better than on ice.

After reading glowing reviews of this bourbon on this site, I decided I should try it. No one carried it in my little town, but a few phone calls to nearby Kansas City located it, at a grocery store chain no less. With tax it was $17. It has a wonderful intense nose of molasses, corn, brown sugar, a little dried fruit, and cured pipe tobacco. The flavors are much the same with a wonderful soft mouthfeel. Surprisingly, at 100 proof there is very little burn or heat, no more than a typical 86. The rich flavors hold up well to a few drops of water. This is the equal, and in many cases, superior to most bourbons at double the price.

Neat. Sweet and hot. Candied nuts, caramel and honey, oak followed by some spice in the end. Only my 2nd check-in, an amateur for sure, but for the value, I'll probably always have this on hand. Just a good bourbon. Around $34 per 1.75 liter.

Man for 16 bucks how can you go wrong. I dont have much for tasting note I am honing the craft and studying the ways before I go that far but to put it into perspective my sister liked it( she only drinks vodka) and her first comment was how she wishes she didnt like it because she knew it had to be expensive no one could believe that this was a 16 dollar bottle of bourbon.

Solid traditional bourbon. Vanilla, cherry, banana and caramel with a bit of peppery spice. The higher proof brings some heat, but it fades pretty fast and overall easy to drink. Maybe best value for the <$20 price range.
