This is my first brandy, having it neat. Nose reminds me of boozy fruit juice, vanilla, hint of maple. Taste is, to me, reminiscent of wine with vanilla and brown sugar, maple toward the end, pretty slick and smooth. Not a wine drinker, but I'm enjoying it more with each sip. Simple, maybe too much ethanol, but it ain't bad at $19.99 for 1.75 litre.Fine Wine & Good Spirits

Only my 2nd rye, so why not a 95%'er? Smells like pepper, cinnamon, caramel, vanilla, maybe some peanut brittle, mint. Tastes like pepper and mint on top of caramel, then it gets sweeter with good amounts of vanilla and caramel with mint throughout, more chocolatey the more I sip. Finishes herbal, peppery, baking spices, lingering chocolate/caramel/vanilla sweetness. I'm really enjoying it.28.99 USD per BottleFine Wine & Good Spirits

Ezra Brooks 90 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 29, 2021 (edited June 29, 2021)Smells like zesty citrus, cinnamon, sweet vanilla, cocoa. Tastes of honey, then bitter citrus zest, bitter oak, pepper, vanilla, aftertaste has a hint of rye. As I sip, it becomes less bitter, more spicy, nutty, sweet like a touch of chocolate. It's quite alright, somewhat different, good to sip on. Under $25 for 1.75 liter.Fine Wine & Good Spirits -
Smells like hot pepper, hard candy like root beer barrels and butterscotch, cinnamon. Tastes quite peppery, caramel, butterscotch, maybe some fruit in there like apple or golden raisin, spicy cinnamon, and a smooth, minty feel. This is my first rye whiskey and I like it.24.99 USD per BottleFine Wine & Good Spirits

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 31, 2020 (edited January 8, 2021)Not overflowing with flavor, but very smooth indeed. Plenty of caramel and vanilla, a bit chocolaty, spice. $30 per 375 ml. Happy to get once, not sure I'd get again at the price. Quite good tho.
