I realise, as I drink this, that tequila isn't my favourite spirit.
That being said, I want to be objective. This seems to taste fair light and smooth to me. I taste a lot of black pepper, and of course the taste of the agave, which to me comes off like boiled cabbage. Its a good tequila, kinda wish I liked it more!
Not impressed. Batch 44. I don’t see why there is hype around this anejo. It tastes more like a reposado and while not bad, it’s not worth the price. Clase Azul reposado is the same price and much better. Don Julio Anejo is less expensive and better. For a little more you can get 1942. Pass.
Better than Don Julio 1942 in my view. It almost has a bit of funkiness on the nose. But then it's so smooth and tasty. Almost a little spicy/peppery at first. One of my favorites for sure. Decent value too. Still like the Clase Azul Repo just a bit more.
