Reviewed March 5, 2024Delicious. I was looking for something with more body and a thicker mouth feel after drinking, typical American bourbons. I researched all the different patches from north, and this align with what I was looking for. It did not disappoint. Thick and viscous, almost like a maple syrup. Opens up with a couple. Small ice cubes. I bought a second bottle as a back up after I finish the first one. -

Reviewed February 5, 2024 (edited February 15, 2024)Aroma - blueberry maple pancakes and vanilla frosting donuts. It literally smells like you are walking into a bakery in the morning. Getting a lot of antique store like notes as it opens (old, musty, oaky tones). Taste - Everything transferring from the nose to the palate. A shit ton of maple, vanilla frosting here. Old dusty oak lingers in the background holding it together like a backbone. Rye component starts to make its presence known right before the finish in the form of a massive burst of bubblegum. The finish ebbs and flows with darker tones of berries and even a slight rich chocolate fudge is picked up in the finish. Every once in a while that bubblegum rye note creeps into the finish which is a delight in my opinion. Overall - this is an absolute flavor bomb that drinks well below its proof. Very decadent, dessert like whiskey. Only knock on this is its viscosity at its proof. I’m being extremely nit-picky here, but the combination of heavy maple presence and high proof wants my brain to think that this should be more “sticky” and viscous on the palate. The finish is extremely long too which further makes me want to have this have more “body” to it. Worth the Price of Admission???? - fuck yea it is. The value you are getting in this around $150 is amazing. -

Reviewed July 15, 2023Very nice. Hint of cinnamon. Nice vanilla and oak aromas. A little bit hot, not too much. Nothing is over the top or overly dominant. Lots of flavor, but well balanced. It’s a keeper.149.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed June 27, 2023 (edited July 7, 2023)Maple, butterscotch, vanilla, oak, a touch of cinnamon spice. Doesn't taste 128 proof but does burn a bit more than some other Canadian favorites. -

Reviewed May 10, 2023 (edited February 15, 2024)The nose doesn’t reveal much. The oak stands out first. Maple sweetness comes into the picture with a little brown sugar / molasses. The palette is freaking awesome. The sip dogs straight into a deep molasses maple syrup flavor. Reminds me of eating a big pancake breakfast in a five star 24/7 diner. I don’t know where the 64% alcohol hides either. There is a dry oak note that hangs out in the background, but it’s not distracting or offputting. The finish is awesome too. Just when it the flavor begins to fade, it comes back and hangs on the back of the tongue in a carmel sweet sort of way. Very enjoyable -
