Four Roses Small Batch Select Bourbon

On the nose I get Spicy Oak and mint. The taste is spicy with chocolate and mint notes. Drinks a little hot.

yeah, great stuff, can’t say its a big step up from regular small batch though.

nose: some light caramel. smell the truffle for sure. like a dust chocolate- not the rich kind. slight mint. body: bark, dull, baking spice. good flavor a little on the bitter side. dry. finish: fine spice

Brown sugar, cherry, chocolate nose. Palate follows through with some drying spice. Tannic finish.

Not as fruity up front as the single barrel OBSV. Vanilla, baking spice. Drying, herbal finish.

Lots of oak and some leather

Its ok. Good but never great. Kind of subtle. I wouldnt spend much money on it again.

Enjoyable but did not pick up any big difference to the small batch

Good whiskey, nice flavor but i thonk i prefer the single barrel.
