GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 11

Bottle kill. This is/was a great bottle. Still with an ice cube. Rich, semisweet and juicy with orange marmalade, dried red fruits, honey, mulled wine, sweet tea and baking spice notes. Long finish mixes sweet, bitter and spicy notes. Distiller Review No. 889

Smells like the inside of a barrel. Strong strong wood and toffee, heavenly aroma. Heavy complex flavor, caramel and rich. Absolutely fantastic.

Nose: A luxurious blend of dark fruits, rich sherry, and warming spices. Palate: Intense flavors of ripe berries, dark chocolate, and oak, with a vibrant layer of spice. Finish: Long and compelling, with a cascade of sweet sherry, oak, and a lingering spice warmth.

I love everything about this pour. The proof is there but not overwhelming and there is lots of that sweet sherry on the nose and palate.

Neck pours. Really nice nose and flavors on the palate. Sherry bomb. I needed ice myself. Will be interesting to see how this develops with time open. Distiller review No. 757
