Greenhook Ginsmiths American Dry Gin
Distilled Gin
Greenhook Ginsmiths // New York, USA
Former Wall Street employee and gin enthusiast Steven DeAngelo and his brother Phillip, originally started Greenhook Ginsmiths in 2008. However, due to the aftermath of the economic recession that year, the Brooklyn-based distillery didn't release its first gin until four years later. Greenhook Ginsmiths American Dry Gin is made with a base spirit distilled from New York-grown wheat.
Eight botanicals - juniper, coriander, chamomile, elderflower, citrus, blue ginger, cinnamon, orris root and elderberry - are then vacuum-distilled with the base spirit. The gin is then bottled at 47% ABV. .

Tasting Notes
"This is a loud and proud take on London Dry. Loads of freshly-zested citrus, orris root, crushed coriander, and juniper all expertly woven together. The orris root comes out in front on the palate while the mid palate is refreshing juniper and cracked pepper. The finish is crisp due to lip-smacking lime. The botanicals are so integrated you can practically chew on them. Don’t hide this in a complex cocktail, it flourishes in a simple Gin Smash."
