Quite dark in color. Tarnish brass with strong amber hue sticky on the glass and a small number of slow-forming legs.
Nose has plenty of green apple, burnt sugar, nutmeg and molasses cookies. Its rich with brown sugary goodness.
Moderate viscosity and somewhat soft on the palate, its mouthfeel fits the smooth blend of rye spice and sweetness.
This is a very oaky and sweet offering for a rye. Not a surprise given the 10-years it's spent in the barrel...
It's big carmely, and sweet with hits of vanilla all over. As a bourbon lover, its right up my alley.
After some time, the green, apple and rye spice re-emerges, along with a bit of eucalyptus. It's quite impressive how interesting the finish is. I may revisit this rating as im toying with a 4
