Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 2

Simply put, this is delicious. I will write a proper review at some point, but first taste is pretty good.

Nose: Salty, buttered bread, almost croissant like. Some spicy wood notes. Palate: Slightly oily, salty, intensely hot and spicy burn that's akin to a chilli heat. Finish: Lovely finish of charcoal smoke that cuts through some of the heat but both linger for some time. Notes: It's like someone put a smouldering coal from a BBQ into your mouth. Water does nothing to temper it.

Sweet ball of fire! Hot vanilla floods your palate with a buttery undertone that coats your mouth throughout. Definite citrus flares of orange and grapefruit. Briny sweetness and a smokey campfire burn for a long finish. This one kicks.

Try it 50/50 with Aberlour A’bunadh. No water. Is pretty awesome.

Lots of vanilla. Strong taste. Finish is long with a bit of peat. Not very smoky. Perfect for a special occasion!
