Reviewed December 29, 2020 (edited June 30, 2021)Colour: Dark honey Aroma: strong cereal, light scent of honey and stewed fruit Mouthfeel and taste: stone ground rye is dominant on the palate. Slight heaviness on the tongue but not oily. Evidenced by good legs on the glass. Finish: rises up the back of the nose with toasty finish down the throat and into the chest. Lingering tingle on the lips. Late fruitiness appears afterwards -

Reviewed December 27, 2020Semi-blind taste. Deep cereal grain smell and spicy taste threw me for a loop when I plum forgot I had a bottle of rye lying around and I thought I was smelling sherried wood and tasting brined smoke and so I was all over the Scotch map on this one. (Still honing my whiskey sampling craft! Hence all the semi-blind tastes.) -

Reviewed December 25, 2020Spicy rye warmth on the tongue. It's very smooth up front but there's a late burn, a deep throat burn.
