I had this Bourbon at the beautiful distillery Stitzel-Weller. It’s a medium body Kentucky Bourbon with medium sized legs and a light amber color. At first i sensed caramel and toffee on the nose. Waited for some time and it opened to get more woody and spicy. I got wet pine wood, wood chips mixed with mint, dill, pepper and lime. The palate is more narrowed to lime, orange with pine wood and nutmeg with some smoke. After having it neat, i poured some drops of water which brought more orange notes to the nose and a longer finish with vanilla, but very subtle. Overall a good Bourbon without the traditional Kentucky hug, but not too much from the Cabernet Sauvignon finish.
