Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select

I agree with everything KTteach said" deep sugars, a litttle cinnamon and banana. This is a very good whiskey.

I am not a fan of Jack, but this release is tasty. The sugars are deeper and the oak is strong and stable. On the nose I get cinnamon, allspice wrapped up in corn sugar. Maybe a hint of banana. In the palate the vanilla sweetness comes up first, then the banana or sweet fruit enter with spice coming up. The spice takes over and the finish is a bit bitter, but somehow that balances all the sweet notes up front. All together, this is good whiskey.
