Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select

Maple syrup start , Going into licorice notes and a pleasant oak finish

Nice golden color. Medium legs. Nose and Tastebuds burn a bit. Best of the Jack Daniel’s that I’ve tried, but probably won’t get again.

Aromas are somewhat fruity. Some dark fruit like plum. Vanilla in there too. Flavor goes to spiciness and a little smoky wood. The mouthfeel is full, slightly oily and finishes with a good amount of heat.

Pros: very, VERY fruit forward in the beginning; nice bit of rye influence for a tingle on the tongue; heavy sweetness on the nose and palate; coats the mouth well (oily) Cons: extremely simple; short finish (although the rye does cling to the tongue for a bit, which is nice); medicinal cherry notes pop in on the nose and palate as it opens up
