Jim Beam Black Label Extra-Aged

Besides this family having more hands in Bourbon than Jeff Bezos does my life this deserves all the awards it's gotten. Vanilla and Spices come forward with light corn towards the end. Corn and leather with a sweet vanilla come together, a slight burn towards the back quickly fades into a clean/smooth medium length finish. Hints of vanilla and carmel and grain linger. Would use in Cocktails for the price but the balance of this most definitely deserve a heavy lean toward straight or with light ice/water to open it up. Don't think this is just another whiskey. It's not.

Very good for a $20 bottle

Still tastes like Jim Beam. Assuming it’s cold filtered as it has a bit of harsher after taste. Absent of deep flavor when first sipping.

Hot nose, oak, apricot, corn, rich-, hot palate H20 > burlap, oak, smooth, good mid & finish.
