Knob Creek 12 Year Small Batch Bourbon

Initial taste was like caramel apples, but soon mellowed to vanilla cream. This is a delicious sipper, but makes a wonderful bourbon smash cocktail as well!

Nose: Delicious mixture of vanilla, cherries, caramel, and sweet corn - classic! Palate: more vanilla and creamed corn mixed with some pepper spice and a nice oily mouthfeel - again, classic! Finish: the spice continues through the finish, a tab bit of licorice, and leaves your mouth a bit dry - kind of let down from the nose and palate, but far from a disappointment Overall: I think the 15 year has a leg up on this, but this is as classic a bourbon as it gets and is thoroughly enjoyable

Nose: Vanilla, cinnamon, nuts and sweet oak are well balanced. It smells sweet. Palate: Upfront you get a lot of vanilla. As it works it’s way to the back you get some cinnamon and nuts and finishes on the sweet oak note. Finish: Long finish as described above. I love this bourbon. It’s probably one of my favorite “Friday night pours.”

Gingerbread and cinnamon cookies on the nose as well peanuts. Spicy cherry flavors right away. A little bit of smoothness at first followed by that red hots flavor. Rich and not much burn on the back end. A good bourbon but not my favorite flavor profile.

Aroma-Vanilla, oak, maple, caramel, sweet cake. Smooth round mouthfeel. Flavor-dried raisin/date, vanilla, rich, marshmallow, leather. Such a nice after dinner sipper. Really happy with it.
