This one tastes like it would be a good barbecue whiskey. Low and slow cooked beef and pork, a few sweet side dishes, and good friends. Approachable, but not boring. Caramel, sweet, spice, citrus, and rich smoke. I might have to mix a black manhattan with multiple bitters for this one. Lingering finish straight out of the bottle.

This has dual notes of vanilla & herbal/mint. The flavors are overlapping vanilla, mint, pepper & barrel spice. This is far better than the standard Rye but not quite the SiB picks. I imagine the Cask Strength is better as well.

Finishing the night with a nice spice, vanilla, definitely some pepper on the back end, almost like some nutmeg at the end, definitely get the oak. Very soft finish for a 100pr. Very pleasant.

Very good. Would have thought a bit more smoother

Definite vanilla notes. Not super impressed but it was a decent pour. A bit over priced for the quality

Noses as sweet and herbally with slightly oak. Tasting of slight spice with some rye characteristics. Though, has many sweet qualities from the new oak barrels making have bourbon like qualities. Overall a good sipping rye.
