Laws 6 Year San Luis Valley Straight Rye Bonded

Capsule review from Whiskies of the World Dallas: This bonded version of their rye is a 95% rye/5% barley mashbill. On the nose aromas of chocolatey malt is reminiscent of a PayDay bar. However, on the palate, the focus is more on the grain with a short to medium finish.

Flaviar Advent Day 18- tasted blind. Very interesting. Woody, strong taste of oak and cedar coupled with a mix of spices and herbs- I'm picking up curry and dill.

Really easy sipping! I'd happily have this on my shelf (and in my glencairn)! Good flavor, not much of a burn.

Floral, rye spice and tobacco on the nose. Like really. Faint sweet and earthy cigarillo, different, but enjoyable. Perceived sweetness and this brightness (think pickles but not acidic) that overshadows the spikes of alcohol.
