Maker's Mark Wood Finishing Series 2021 FAE-01

Dark fruit, oak, nut

The nose on this is incredibly sweet, caramel and corn. It has a dry, slightly oaked taste that brings a pleasant bloom of warmth to the chest. The finish is definitely dry, of middling length with a hint of campfire.

Fantastic tobacco aftertaste warming bourbon.

Warm and fruity, followed by woody notes

The nose of this bourbon has a distinct fruity sweetness to it with a hint of ethanol. I expected some heat from it but was pleasantly surprised by its smoothness. There is a certain smoky tobacco flavor as the bottle suggests but a hint of caramel as well. The aftertaste is fruity but I expected more since the flavor was on the bottle. Overall, a really fantastic pour to enjoy at a fire or watching tv.

Wow. A fruit explosion on the nose. Orange right off the bat and Apple and pear and citrus and spice. A chocolate and caramel flavor on the palate. The finish is long and lots of spice and Tobacco. One of the better bottles in 2021.
