Michter's US*1 Barrel Strength Rye

The sample I received was marked barrel strength rye 53.2% which doesn't really match up with other reviews here but not sure where else to put it. I got a lot of spice and ethanol on this one and at the price of $200cad it just isn't worth it to me. I get more depth on an alberta premium cask strength for $60 at ~65% depending on the release.

Spicy aroma with lots of vanilla and brown sugar. Nice viscosity and the flavor matches the aroma with the sugar and vanilla opening and the spice closing out the sip and going up to the upper palate. Nice whiskey. @aboutbeverages
